Description
In collaboration with KNA, this award-winning project received the SAIA Free State Award for Architecture 2019. The project uses passive energy technologies and the poetry of architecture to intervene in pre-primary education in a township. This project is important in 3 ways: It strives to deliver a green and self-sufficient building through the use of passive energy technologies to a poor community; it exposes the youngest and poorest to the language of architecture, and it intercedes in this way in the development stage 0 to 6 years. One of the biggest benefits of the architectural design has been the temperature control and thermal insulation of the building.Location
